For close to forty years, the Black Studies Centre (BSC) has been providing a wide range of services to the Montreal community and to its various institutions.
Since the Centre's incorporation in January 1973, we have committed ourselves to the continued educational development of Montreal's Black community.Among other endeavours, the BSC has:

- Promoted the understanding of Black culture and has made its facilities available to individuals and groups for cultural activities.
- Conducted and prepared seminars, conferences, youth cultural programs, and exhibits.
